Translucent Mirror Technology is a revolutionary Sony technology that allows the camera to focus and shoot at the same time. Unlike regular DSLR cameras, the mirror in the α35 doesn’t move, removing the time it usually takes to take a shot after focusing.

7 Frames Per Second Tele-zoom for high-speed shooting

Get in on the action and capture up to 7 frames per second (fps) with Continuous AF in High-Speed Shooting mode on the α35. Tele-zoom also enables continued perfect focus while zoomed into a 1.4x* close-up, while exposure and other parameters are optimized for dynamic imagery. *Image size is 8.4 mp in this mode, with aperture fixed at F3.5 or the maximum aperture of the lens in use, whichever is smaller.
