Question

Troubleshoot when media remote connection or registration process fails.

Answer

When the connection or registration process fails:

  • Is the home device you want to register compatible with Media Remote? For details, check here.

  • Make sure the home device that you want to use with Media Remote is turned on.

  • Make sure your mobile device and the home device are connected to the same Network. Otherwise you cannot use the home device.

  • Even if your mobile device is connected to the same Network as the home device, there is a possibility that you cannot use the home device due to your router's setting (e.g. Privacy Separator). Please refer to your router's operating instructions.

  • The number of home devices you can register is limited. If you have registered the maximum number of devices, you must delete a previously registered device before you can register a new one.

  • If the home device you want is not recognized as an unregistered device, tap on the upper right corner of the screen to reload the screen.

  • Previous registration information might have been deleted from your home device. Delete the existing registered home device from this application and then register it again.
