Q1. Which are the affected VAIO models?

Q2. How will I know if my unit is affected?
A2. Your computer may display a duplicate image on the screen, an intermittently and periodically distorted image on the screen, or no image for a certain period of time after the VAIO has been turned on and booted.
Q3. How long will it take for inspection and repair?
A3. For the inspection by our Service Centre, it takes about a week from the receipt of the unit. During busy periods, it may take a little longer. Please contact the nearest Sony Service Centre for more details.
Q4. Can I get a refund on my extended service plan?
A4. This is not possible as the extended service plan covers the entire notebook computer while the three year extended warranty covers the NVIDIA-GPU only.
Q5. Is this a recall?
A5. No, we are voluntarily extending the limited manufacturer’s warranty to cover units which may potentially have affected NVIDIA-GPUs.
