This is a remarkable lens. Good value for money. Nice and light on the camera. Seems well constructed. Having given it a test run, in the garden, I find the resultant images to be very acceptable, considering its price. Very happy with this product.

Lense is so bad, and out of focus (auto or manual) that it just takes up space in camera case now. Pics cant even be photoshopped.

I tested this lens with my new Sony A6400 camera and so far have been well pleased with the quality of the images. They are clear and show colours in their entirely. It is very easy to use and I will need to get more practice but so far I am more than happy with the results.

Not sure why I'm getting asked for a review a full decade later & after I just traded it in, but here it is. Decent lens. But it was a pain swapping lenses so much since this is an APS-C lens and starts at the full frame equivalent of 82.5, that is telephot territory. The aperture is small, so it's not great in low light. It's small, light, and has good range. But it's a consumer lens, not a professional one.

Got this lens a month ago and I am over the moon with it. For around £200 the pictures are surprisingly sharp and the stabilisation makes the focus very reliable. I pair it with a Sony A6000 and together they are perfect for casual photography.

The lens is a compact lightweight option which i used with the a6600. I used it for street photography and wildlife photography, I got it as it was affordable and wanted to try out the mid telephoto focal lens range, turns out I love it.

Added this telezoom lens last month to the a6640 with kit lens. For indoor sports shooting, the manual zooming needs come getting used to. A bit tight n lagging compared to my old Canon L lens. But for the price it is good enough to get the close up shots of players.

I bought this as logical lens to go with the 16-50mm EPZ kit lens that came with my Sony A6000. The lens certainly adds a lot of extra reach and creative flexibilty with good optics. It is lightweight and perfect partner to go with the kit lens especially if travelling . The picture quality for the price point is very good in my opinion.

Great OSS. Sharp pictures. Excellent zoom portraits. Body is well build. Low light performance is poor as expected. I would recommend this len if you are looking for low someone who is looking for low budget telephoto lens.

This kit lens made me feel like I downgraded when switching from A mount to E mount. I think my old DT55-200SAM I had paired to an a300 took higher quality pictures with better bokeh. It makes sense, considering the wider f-stop and 9 blade vs 7blade aperture. With OSS built into the old A-mount cameras, the only thing this lens has on the 55-200SAM is 10mm of focal length. That doesn't compensate for all the areas it falls short. Since the 55-210 is almost double the price and about a decade newer, you would think Sony would make it technologically superior.

This lens is light weight easy to operate. It has image stabilisation when button is half pressed. I love it. The sharpness of close images is awesome. Though max zoomed images are impressive but a bit smoother. Overall results are satisfactory. This is a good lens for sports photography as well as I did football photography and loved the results.

It's soft on the telephoto end. If you don't pixel peep it's fine but it is soft when you do.

I have been on and off buying this lens for ages, encouraged by reading good reports and discouraged by reports that were not so good. Recently I purchased and have to say that I am entirely delighted with the results I get from this lens. I take daylight pictures so a slightly slower lens does not affect me, I want sharp pictures and that is what I get. I’m not a beginner, around 60 years experience and would say to potential buyers, don’t hesitate, a great value lens.

The lens is best at mid range and aperture and working around this is easy, don't expect pin sharp fully zoomed images and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank with the hundreds of £'s you will have saved yourself. Yahoo potato.

I recently moved from a micro four thirds outfit to the smaller and more compact Sony A 6300 and needed a linger lens . The E55-210 was my choice with its compact size and sheer quality of image . In short an ideal lens which would become a must have with a 2.8 to 4.5 aperture rather than the 4,5 -6.3

I recently purchased this lens to go with a Alpha 6300 camera. It is a great lens, with a very goof focal length range. Focussing is very quick and the first set of images I took with it are very sharp with great exposure. The lens is very light and easy to handhold with no camera skas or blurred image. An excellent lens to go with the camera

I bought this lens a month ago together with the a6000 and it was great initially esp for Marco and up close product/portrait shots however the lens faltered and won't focus upclose as well as it used to. Thinking it may have been a setting problem I tried tinkering with it and still no change. Finally included that the lens may be faulty and luckily it's covered under warranty. I've yet to get it sorted but I'm sure Sony's warranty is pretty efficient so I'm not too worried. Jist disappointed that it was already acting up within such a short period.

Bought this used off of ebay and its been great. Great for sports stuff where you need the range and the autofocus is quick. Only problem is the relatively small aperture which makes it hard to use indoors if there isnt a lot of light but for the price not much to complain about. Most sports are played outdoors or in well lit gyms, etc. anyways :)

Bought this last week, great features for the price/good zoom. Does work in low light even at full zoom F6.3. Tried mine in the dark evening.
