This tiny camera is great for bringing out without tiring you. It has great focal length covering 24-200mm which is perfect as a travel camera. Image quality is awesome, noise level is manageable and can be denoised easily in Lightroom if you shoot RAW.

I have been given that camera .I really like this and now I wanna purchase again.

Bought this a month ago. I actually traded my mirrorless camera into this compact yet amazing digicam. I love how compact and portable it is and yet it captures beautiful photos and ultra clear videos. The most important is I can bring it inside concert venues, unlike my mirrorless camera bec it's considered professional, hence prohibited.

A convenient travel companion that is good enough most of the time. However not too weather resistant in winter. Screen will shutdown itself.

good camera, LOVE the size, but lack of updates is frustrating. I've had mine for several years and in particular the lack of subject specific focus is aggravating. In my case, that's birds, at which my Fuji XT excels- and this feature was installed in an update.

Love it! It’s easy to stash into a bag and bring anywhere. Wishing it were weatherproof, otherwise it’s perfect!

Just bought this camera and I have not explored all the features yet. Only use it in full auto mode most of the time. I’m sure there are more setting to be adjusted for better picture quality.

I needed an “all-rounder” travel camera that can double up as a street photographer camera. Did my research and due diligence. Took my chance on a 2019 dated camera in 2026. No regrets. It is still relevant and still the best-in-class. Compact size. 28mm-200mm zoom. Fast focus. View Finder. Image quality. Build quality.

Love the form factor and sleek design. A lot of pro features in such a small package. A little slippery to hold but with the wrist lanyard feels sufficiently secure. Battery runs fast during my holiday luckily I bought a spare battery with me. Photo quality was great for a compact camera. EVF comes in handy during sunny situation. Overall it is enjoyable to use especially during on vacation.

Im visually impaired ( left eye) therefore I miss a lot of what is on the screen. The EVF on this little beauty has given me my love of photography back. I had been using another camera for the past year ( no EVF) sunlight was a huge disadvantage for me. I absolutely love the pop up EVF simple to use and helps me get much clearer views of my subject. I've only just begun to explore the numerous settings. I think to date, the one I use the most is the "clear zoom" getting me so much closer to my subject.

Bought this to take more photos of my active kid, glad that I did. Being compact means it is easier for me to bring along almost everywhere, and the autofocus performance and zoom range allows me to capture moments what is not ideal with my phone.

Bought 1 month ago , wanted a small and light camera as my RX 10IV is too heavy to carry. Happy with the product, only problem is there is no grip. I have accidentally dropped 2 times and beside some small scratches, there was no dent at all, showing that the material for the casing is solid.

Not happy as I registered but the 2x warranty was not given. Not cool.

Well it's a bit early to judge, heck we had the last one for 8 or 9 years, but so far yeah, everything is great. The longer lens has been a bonus- a little unexpectedly, I didn't think we would use the extreme end too much. It's a great piece of kit, so solid and so small that it's ever present. We did add a bottom plate and grip accessory- last time we added the stick on grip which worked well too. Picture quality is very good for a sensory this size.

Overpriced and old at this point. It still has micro USB. The size is wonderful, but the tech technology is dated. I can’t believe Sony hasn’t updated this camera in such a long time. They also canceled my other favorite camera the RX 10. It’s all about video games and forgetting their camera customers. It’s sad what Sony has done. Yes, their full frame line is invested in, but it would cost? The rest of It’s sad what Sony has done. Yes, they’re full frame line is invested in, but it would cost? The rest of the camera lineup is sad and old. Please, Sony, do better.

I bought this camera about a month ago and I have yet to explore all the options. The quality of the pictures is outstanding and it has every option you could need. It rivals a larger DSLR with exception of interchangeable lens. This is the ultimate pocket travel camera IMO.

I traded in all my DSLR equipment due to downsizing.

Just bought this having owned the RX100 MkV previously. The earlier camera gave stunning results but so far this little beauty is superb. Image quality is outstanding for such a small camera. Be great to compare similar images against my Nikon Z8 at the right time.

I'm impressed by the quality if the photo I've taken so far, but am struggling to get my head around all of the features. Far more complex then anything I've owned to date.

The Sony RX100 is an amazing compact camera with excellent image quality and design. However, I feel it’s time for a refresh — the RX100 VII is the latest model, and it’s starting to feel a bit old now. Since then, only the ZV lineup has been updated, and that series mainly focuses on vloggers and content creators. I’d love to see a new RX model that focuses more on photography. It would be great if the built-in flash could be removed and replaced with a smart hot shoe to support advanced accessories. Adding features from the ZV-1 Mark II, such as better photography software, a side-flip screen instead of a top-flip one, and AI-assisted shooting features like intelligent autofocus, smart subject tracking, and scene optimization, would make it much more powerful for photographers. While the ZV-1 and ZV-1 Mark II have good zoom capabilities, the RX100 series still performs better in that area — a strength worth keeping. The next RX should also emphasize higher resolution, enhanced color depth, and stronger still-photo performance rather than video. Many young photographers — and even young models — have strict parents who don’t allow phone use, but do allow tablets. I personally let children use a tablet, even to post their creative photos on social media. A compact, photographer-focused RX100 with modern features, AI enhancements, and smart connectivity would be perfect for them. I truly hope Sony continues the RX line with a new model designed for photographers and the next generation of creative talent.

The Sony RX100 VII is a powerhouse in a pocket-sized body. Image quality is sharp and vibrant, the 24–200mm zoom is super versatile, and the autofocus is lightning fast. Perfect travel companion—DSLR performance without the bulk!

So far, I dont see anything bad about this camera. I can really take it with me all the time and get high quality pictures. Even my friends who own fullframe camera are getting jealous that I dont have to carry heavy lens like them and still get good pictures.

Love the images, but so far as I can tell the camera does not Bluetooth pair with IEM for geotagging.

I purchased this camera about 1 year ago and have been using it since. In December of last year, our family went to Italy for 2 weeks and I used the camera extensively. I really like the wide angle to telephoto range (24-200mm). I got some great photos and have posted to the photography forum I use online. Many compliments. I highly recommend this camera.

I bought a Sony ZV-1 a few years ago but wished I had just saved a little more and bought the RX100VII. After selling the ZV-1, I waited a while as I thought Sony would release a RX100 MK8 but it looks like that isn't happening anytime soon. Just get the MK7 and know you have the best.

In the Sonry camera RX-100 M7 box, there's a paper says that if we register, it will extend the product warranty from 1 year to 2 years, but after I registered the camera, the warranty webpage still shows only 1 year warranty, so apparently the paper in the product box lied to us. Sony needs to fix this, otherwise your reputation is going to be very bad in lying to customers!

Although it is expensive, it is well worth it. Bought the pocket camera as wanted DLSR type quality in a small compact size. Great for travelling and less obtrusive than the larger cameras.

Bought camera last October very happy, although released number of years ago, apart from menus layout still has great features.

Poor low light performance, no touch screen interface (beyond selecting focus), poor/no video stabilisation

I have used once so far and realized sometimes no picture was taken when the shuttle was pressed. When it happened, I kept pressing for many times and picture only captured after a while. This was not a good experience because I take photos at the site that is extremely hot and need to take photos fast and this experience slowed me down.

So far, I am very happy with this purchase. I'm very happy with the photos I've made in the short time I've own the camera. One issue I do have is I have short stubby fingers, and, often times, I will accidentally activate a button that I did not intend. Love the reach of this camera -- 24 to 200 mm -- great for candid photos on the street.

Changing from DSLR to compact point & shoot give me more ease handling & shooting object. The zoom function work well without need to change the lense. Overall - a very good compact camera. If Sony want to replace it with Mark 8 (VIII) : Bigger battery, Mini SD card that support to 512 max, USB type C connector, hand grip to be included.

My first RX100ll was not able to get beyond the initial info of place and time. Whenever I restarted the camera it would come back blank, asking for the info again. Time after time. I returned it as defective and B+H sent me a new one. This second one, after about a month of use, also became defective. It kept shutting down. Returned. The third RX100Vll had the same problem as the first, but, by then, I realized that I might later chance the initial info, so I did....by redoing the initial info from that place. Somehow that method of doing the info worked...the info did not keep coming back. I assume all is well now, except that I am not impressed at all with the making of this camera..

I heard of how good the camera is. After years of delay, managed to get rx100m7. It proof to be great and a good for my hp camera replacement. Hopefully they would have a new upgrade from microusb to usbc charging

I bought this camera as an upgrade to my original RX100 and the M7 has all of those characteristics that made that camera so good and a ton of very valuable additional features consistent with such an evolved line of cameras. Anyone who shares my love of small, dense Japanese product design will be happy with the hardware. Subtly curved surfaces and tiny details, positive button feel, precise screen articulation and a smooth lens ring. All of the tiny slack that was present here and there on the M1 are banished on the M7. One small gripe is directed at the covers to the ports. Stiff, nail-breaking flaps that resolutely want to spring back, blocking access to the sockets. They are loosening up a bit but some proper hinged flaps would have been nice. Displays are good and the tiny viewfinder is terrific for framing in bright light. The articulation of the screen is so helpful for composing shots at odd angles, a feature that I use a great deal. These two make the M7 a much more versatile tool than most. The zoom range is just what I want from a compact travel camera, especially at the long end, and lens quality is what I would expect from Zeiss. Picture quality is excellent across the zoom range with only slight distortions at the extremes. Noise is well controlled and easy to eliminate using the current AI tools. You can have a great deal of control in the setup if you need it and I found a good set of assignments that make managing the camera comfortable and convenient. Overall a very satisfying camera to use that returns detailed and attractively rendered images in all conditions, and is a pleasure to own. While I have other, more capable Sony cameras, I can see from my own results that the RX100-M7 goes a long way to being the only camera a lot of people will ever need.

I wanted a camera small enough to take with me in my pocket but which would give good quality imagse. I'm pleased with the quality I've managed to get, even in the dull light we've had for the last few weeks. The 'expose for highlights' setting has proved particularly useful, although of course the images then need some post-processing to bring the shadows up. Impressive amount of detail in th eimages with or without zoom. I had a quick look at a video online before I visited the shop to have a look at the camera - it's pretty intuitive but I hadn't owned a Sony before. It's been quick and easy to pick up and navigate the menu.

This VII is replacing a V and I wish I had upgraded when the VII was introduced. I was waiting for at VIII to come out, but happened upon someone who had the V11 and this made my mind up to purchase. A great zoom facility on such a small camera and the quality of photograph is excellent. The camera allows beginners to just point and shoot, whilst for professionals it is a great tool to simply fit into a pocket.

I bought the rx100 vii a couple of weeks ago and it has turned out to be a wonderful little camera with everything you'd need in a compact camera

As it has been often touted, it’s a mini a9 in a compact camera. And I have to say, after using it for about 2 weeks, I am totally impressed with the image quality and speed at which it acquires focus. And the blackout free burst mode is truly amazing. If there is one downside, it’s that the camera is so compact that it’s slippery and tiny in the hand. But that can is also its main attraction, making it inconspicuous and less “threatening” when taking photographs on the streets.

I have been keeping an on the RX100 since mark 1. I thought it was it and never expect it to iterates till mark 7. That shows how serious Sony is to make it almost perfect. I just got to have it before it disappears from the shelves. I never regret it. My top features are the bright and sharp EVF, the 180° tilt LCD, the excellent Zeiss lens and all the pro features in the menu like its big brother the A9. It's a pity there will be no mark 8 with full touch screen.

An excellent compact camera, fits in the pocket, perfect for travel instead of using heavier cameras.

I purchased this to replace my RX100 m3 when the flash stopped working This is umpteen times better than the m3 for functionality, zoo, touch screen focus etc, and goes a long way towards a full size top end camera range.
