Excellent Sony Headphone for Work From Home

I bought this item from Costco about 3 months back and I am extremely pleased that I made the right decision. There was an excellent coupon deal available in Costco at that time. What are my likes in this headphone? (1) This headphone has the latest bluetooth 5.0 version. So it is future proof for at least 4 to 5 years (2) Sound quality is superb and very very clear (3) I work from home in this COVID season for the past several months and I use this Sony headphone to connect with my Windows 10 Laptop for all MS Teams, Webex, Zoom, Skype, etc without need for Bluetooth adapter. The BT connection is spontaneous upon turning on, after the first time establishing connection (4) Due to BT 5.0, I can walk around without being close to laptop, as long as 60 feet away (2, 3 rooms away). I am happy that I am not tied to the laptop and nearby chair sitting in front of laptop all the time. (5) Noise cancellation quality is very good for an over-ear headphone. (6) Ear Cushions are excellent and I am able to use the headphone for longer hours in a day (7) Battery life is very good and I charge once a week upon hearing the low battery warning (7) Headphone connect app both in Google play and Apple store, is excellent and there are frequent updates and improvements by Sony. What are my dislikes in this headphone? (1) Folding design of Sony WH-H910N is awkward and not flexible, compared to smooth flexible folding of Sony WH-1000XM3 or 4. (2) Sony has provided a travel pouch. I wish that they can provide a carrying case. I bought a hardshell case from the market (3) I am not complaining, but I wish that Sony has provided the option of connecting two devices at the same time. Over all, I like Sony WH-H910N for the excellent sound and call quality and recommend the product for those who Work From Home. PS: Based on my experience, my partner who also works from home bought same model headphone for herself and we bought a new one (same model) for my son's online classes.

Broken after 6mths. Warranty not honoured

I bought the headphones in September 2020 - expensive items - but always trusted the Sony brand prior purchases. After 6 months the plastic cup connector (internal) sheared off - rendering the headphones useless (the plastic connector forms the rigidity). Sony warranty have refused to replace the plastic under warranty - saying it has been caused by customer damage! The headphones have been treated extremely carefully (who wouldn’t look after a GBP 200 pair of headphones) - and I’m staggered. I feel customer service have let down the brand.

Got these headphones as part of a package deal with my new Sony mobile phone. They've been hanging around for a year or more as I've already got some Sony headphones WH-CH700N which I've had for about three years and are great. These new headphones are a much cheaper variant they're not as comfortable, the controls for play/pause, volume & ffw/red are useless as they're touch sensitive but you don't see where to touch and if you happen to accidentally tap one it will cause unwanted operation on said controls. Glad I didn't buy them as I would have returned to retailer.

I already had an awesome set of Sony headphones, but when these came in the post and I tried and tested them, I honestly cried with joy because the sound was so good. I especially appreciate that their sound output can be tailored to your ear shape, I think this is what makes the biggest difference from all the other headphones I've tried...

The head phones are really good the best I have had the only bad fault I have found with them is the ear surround padding starts to peel off which I wouldn't expect with the price of the head phones. I will have to see if they sell them separately or it's a new set.

Bought these noise cancelling headphones for flying after some ling haul trips with screaming children. Work very well in eliminating the aircraft noise and also at reducing passenger noise. Sound quality is very good for the price, especially when you use the equaliser to reduce the unnaturally deep bass evident on some tracks. They fit nicely and are comfortable to wear over many hours of use. They also fold nicely for storage and the quality seems good. Overall very pleased with the purchase, and I'm sure they will provide many years of service.

Great headphones, have long battery life and are reliable. But after six months, either left or right, start to literary scream. Told by Sony to reset them and reinstall the app, it hasn't worked. I also use them on a Windows PC which doesn't have an app, so the problem is even worse. The only thing that helps the problem is by switching the ambient sound control off, but you don't have that option with a Windows PC. No emails or support messages left have been answered. The supplier Very said to contact Sony, ether way. Customer service is zero and I paid £160 for them.

Good sound but very poor build quality

I have bought this headphone in 2020, the audio quality is very good for me and the battery life was sufficant for me. However it broke after around 6 months or so without any careless handling or accident. After sending it to repair i could use it again but it broke again and my noise cancelling isn't functioning correctly anymore, making a blank noise when using it. So in conclusion, the headphones overall is good but is heavily dragged down by its poor build quality and design. At the end i wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

I bought these headphones in December 2020 from the media market in Belgium. After some time (2-3 months) it had problems like no effect of noise cancelling, lower bateery backup, also problems in connecting to laptop via Bluetooth etc. I tried to return it but shockingly get to know that they cannot take it back (although it was still in warranty). After a year, it broke on its own from the hinge forcing me to insulate with tape but still no point to return the product. I have lost around 200 euros over this product. Strongly disfavoring this product. The return and damage policy sucks.

I bought these a month ago to replace another pair I bought under 2 years ago because the covering on the ear muffs had disintegrated and although Sony replaced them it started to happen again. Hopefully the new ones will last more than 12 months!

My husband bought these for me 12/2022. Last week, while taking them off my head, they broke. They are not repairable as Sony doesn't offer parts. Additionally, they are far too big and constantly slipped on my head. Tapping the right side to start/stop the device only worked about 1/2 the time.

I bought these Sony WH-H910N Headphones, to replace a cheap unknown manufacturer pair I purchased 2 years ago. I am not disappointed, they sound fantastic and very easy to set up and operate. Only negative is the cloth travel pouch, I would have liked to have seen them in a hard case. I would definitely recommend them, I have compared them with my sons Sony WH-1000-XM3 more than twice the price and could barely tell any difference.

These headphones fell apart a little under 16 months after I bought them by me just taking them off my head, and were just out of their 1 year warranty. Sony don't take any responsibility for what is clearly a weak design point and have asked me to pay to get them fixed. The headphones were very well looked after and were not dropped etc... Quality of the actual sound was decent but your money is better spent on better made products.

Comfortable, effective & great sound

I wanted a decent pair of sound cancelling headphones. Had these demonstrated in John Lewis and they are great. Work well in a noisy gym environment, still waiting try them on a plane, but anticipate they'll be good there too. Don't understand the aural area feature, but it's easy to just use the sound cancelling. Easy to control from the app and ok from the side swipe on the right ear, though that can produce strange results or not work. And look great in blue!

Bought from John Lewis and happy either purchase. Sony App works well in fine tuning the sound to my ears. Dissapointed to find that Sony only supply a bag, rather than a rigid case to protect my investment. Would recommend.

I was given these as a present. The box has a small label stating "Made for iPhone/iPad" and I don't have either of those, so I can't use the Sony App. I learned about "pairing" from Twitter, so paired the headphones with my Android phone. But then what? I've never had headphones before, so I'm struggling with what I do with them, how I access music/stuff to hear on them (other than googling a radio station on my Android phone, to listen to through the headphones - which seems a bit pointless, as I could just put the radio on), and I can see I can answer my mobile phone on them (but why would I do that?). So they're probably great but I can't see how I will make use of them. It would be good to have information for beginners with guidance on how you actually make use on them & what kind of things you would listen through them & what the pre-reqs are needed to be compatible (bluetooth?). I found the instructions basic - some words would be nice as - for example - there's a picture with little lights on, and I've NO idea what it's trying to tell me.

Lack of Multi-Point BT Support

I kind of expect this series is close to good as its the lower range as compared to the big brother 1000XM4. Despite there's update to give half hearted Multi-point BT support, but its still not a full blown as compared to other brand with lower price range. I really expect this series to have close or just a few lower end audio sound since it has a smaller driver. Beside all the one I mentioned earlier, the audio is good, the BT range is outstanding as I tested with a few solid wall walking around. The Mic is just a typical Sony flaw, a bit unclear and when you talk, you can hear a lot of surround background sound. If you are going for sound quality and comfort, then I would recommend this headset. If you want more bass, this is not for you and you would be better off get the XB series or even pay for the 1000 XM4 or XM3. I just wish XB910 is here in singapore on those local shop.
