Great Kit Lens!

I used this lens with my newly purchsed Sony A6400 for the first time on Saturday and was blown away by the quality of the images. Many experts are not so complimentary about Kit Lenses, however the images I took were of a very high quality and detailed. Well impressed!

Pleased so far. Had a few issues but these appear to be resolved by using a decent SD card. Viewfinder is not the best I have experienced but not as bad as some say and certainly good enough for my use. Having a viewfinder is one of the reasons I bought this model. The quick menu is invaluable and really useful. The tilt screen is great. Built in flash is excellent. And the overall size and weight is great for what I have in mind to use it for. The kit lens produces nice sharp images though I am not so keen on the power zoom, I prefer manual zoom but it’s not a big deal. And remember; this has a 24mp APS-C sensor so it can be used for more serious photography. I don’t doubt that it could, if needed , be used for something like a wedding so a great option to have this little beauty in your kit bag. You will need a couple of extra batteries though. The colours produced by the sensor are better than I was expecting and nouse is pretty well controlled up to ISO 6400. Overall, so far so good. Let’s see how it goes from here
