The Google Assistant comes up even when I don’t say "Ok Google"

IMPORTANT: This article only applies to specific products and/or operating systems. Please check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article.

This issue can occur if the phrase Ok Google comes from the TV, for example during a commercial. The TV's Built-in microphone might hear that and react to it.
If this happens, on the remote control, press the BACK button to cancel the Google Assistant ready status.

    Check the TV position setting:

    1. Open the Settings screen. How to access Settings
    2. Select Sound or Display & Sound, and then select Sound.
    3. Select TV position.
    4. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select Front Position Style or Back Position Style/Wall Mount.
      • Select Table-Top stand or Wall Mount.
