I cannot establish a connection with a Wireless LAN access point.

When Connecting for the First Time

If your access point has a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button, you can register the access point easily.
For information about the compatible features and settings of your access point, please refer to the access point's instruction manual or contact the access point administrator.
If you want to connect to an access point using the 6 GHz band, please refer to the following and perform Manual Registration.

When Previously Connected but Now Unable to Connect

    1. Check compliance with wireless technology.
Wireless LAN standards (such as IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) vary by model.
For details, refer to the Help Guide for your camera.
    2. Check the access point environment.
      • If the access point is turned off, turn the access point on.
      • Move the camera closer to the access point.
Note: Communication distance may be reduced by obstacles, wall materials, or signal conditions. Try repositioning the camera or reducing the distance to the access point.

If the issue persists, proceed to STEP 3.

    3. Check how to set the access point on the camera.
      • For WPS Push
Ensure that your access point supports the WPS push button method.
        IMPORTANT:
        • When using the WPS Push function, the access point's security must be set to WPA, WPA2, or WPA2/WPA3, and the security must support the WPS push button method.
        • If the security is set to WEP, WPA3 only, or if the access point does not support WPS Push, you must register the access point manually.
      • For Manual Registration
Check the registration method. (for Access point settings)
        • If selecting the SSID from a list: Choose your SSID and go to Step 4.
        • If entering the SSID manually: Type in the SSID and go to Step 5.
        • When using an access point supporting WPS PIN: Register the PIN of the camera to the access point.
Note: Register the SSID name of the access point by selecting from the list or entering the SSID name manually.
    4. Check the entered items. (When selecting the SSID name from the list)

IMPORTANT: If the access point has SSID Stealth (or similar) enabled, the SSID may not appear in the network list. In that case, try registering by entering the SSID name manually.

      1. Check the correct SSID is selected.
      2. Verify that the password (passkey) is correct.
      3. Ensure that IP Address Setting is set to Auto or DHCP is set to On.
      4. If the IP address Setting is set to Manual or DHCP is Off, verify the following:
        • IP Address
        • Subnet mask
        • Default gateway
        • DNS Settings

If the issue persists, go to STEP 6.

    5. Check the entered items. (When entering the SSID manually)
      1. Check the SSID is entered correctly.
      2. Confirm that the correct encryption method (WPA/WPA2/WPA3/WEP/None) is selected and the password (passkey) is correct.
      3. Ensure that IP Address Setting is set to Auto, or DHCP is set to On.

      4. If IP Address Setting is set to Manual or DHCP is Off, verify the following:
        • IP Address
        • Subnet mask
        • Default gateway
        • DNS Settings

If the issue persists, go to STEP 6.

    6. Check the MAC address filtering setting of the access point.
If you enable MAC address filtering, you need to register the camera's MAC address to the access point to allow the connection.
Note: Refer to the camera's Help Guide for instructions on finding the camera's MAC address.
If the issue persists, go to STEP 7.
    7. Turn the camera and access point off and then back on.

IMPORTANT: Restarting the access point will not erase the settings of the access point. However, other devices may temporarily lose connection, or the access point may require a reboot.
If the access point has no power switch, unplug the access point from the AC outlet and then plug the access point back in.

    8. Update the access point firmware.

Installing the latest firmware may solve the issue.
Check the access point manufacturer's website for available updates.
