What apps are available for my TV?

• Google TV models

  1. Check using the Google TV HOME menu.
     Select the Apps tab in the HOME menu. To browse for apps, move up or down on your remote control to find different categories. When you find a category you are interested in, move to the right to browse the available apps. You can also select a category from the App categories section.

     

     Notes:

     • The Apps tab only displays apps that are supported by Google TV and those you can install. They may differ from apps for smartphones or tablets.
     • You can easily search for apps via the on-screen keyboard or do a voice search using the Google Assistant (or MIC) button on your remote control. For details, refer to this article: How do I install applications on the Google TV or Android TV, and then confirm the apps installed?.
     • If you choose the basic TV option when you set up your Google TV, only pre-installed TV apps are available and you will not be able to install other apps. When you press the HOME button on your remote control, you can find all pre-installed apps on the HOME menu. If you want to install other apps, you need to log in to your Google Account and switch from basic TV to Google TV. To switch to Google TV, scroll to the Google TV banner on the HOME screen, then select Set up Google TV.
  2. Check using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
     Using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, visit the Apps for TV website for a list of the latest apps that are available for Google TV devices.
     Note: On the Apps for TV website, you can also see a description and reviews of the app before downloading.

• Android TV models

  You can check what apps can be installed on an Android TV from the Google Play Store.

  Notes:

  • The Google Play Store on Android TV only displays apps that are supported by the TV, so apps that are not displayed are not supported at the moment. Not all apps for other Android™ devices (such as smartphones) can be used with the TV.
  • Apps can be purchased through the Google Play Store if you are logged in using your Google ID. You can also install apps on your Android TV for free if you have already purchased them on your Android mobile device, provided an Android TV version is available.

  There are two ways to determine what apps are available for an Android TV.

  1. Check using the Android TV HOME menu.
     If you already own an Android TV, you can select the Google Play Store app from the Apps menu and search through all of the listed apps.

     Note: The HOME screen may differ depending on the model, region, and apps available.

     

  2. Check using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
     Using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, visit the Apps for TV website for a list of the latest apps that are available for Android TV devices.
     Note: On the Apps for TV website, you can also see a description and reviews of the app before downloading.

• How do I check all of the apps installed on my Google TV or Android TV?

  1. Open the Settings screen. How to access the Settings
     • If the remote control has a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the Quick Settings button and select Settings.
     • If the remote control does not have a Quick Settings ( or ) button, press the HOME button and select Settings.
  2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
     • Select Apps. (Android™ 9 or later)
     • Select Apps → Downloaded apps or System apps category. (Android 8.0 or earlier)

IMPORTANT:

• Not all BRAVIA TVs can use apps or the same functions described in this article. Check the supplied user manual for exact specifications.

Follow these steps if you want to check all the apps on your TV:

1. Make sure to connect your TV to an active internet connection.
2. On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
3. Select All Apps, Applications, or All Applications.
   Note: The image below is an example of the display screen.
   
   Note for 2014 models: The All Apps section is at the lower corner of the Apps menu screen.
