Noise appears during fast‑moving scenes or scene transitions.

The Motionflow feature smooths motion by inserting additional frames between images, in some cases, this processing can cause visual noise to appear in the following situations:

    • Switching between scenes or fast-moving scenes
    • On the screen edges in fast-moving scenes

Note: Not all Sony TVs include adjustable Motionflow settings. If Motionflow is listed in Sony's BRAVIA technical specifications or marketing materials but does not appear in the TV menu, the TV automatically adjusts the settings.

    Change the Motionflow settings

If this noise is distracting, adjusting the Motionflow settings may help reduce it.

    1. The video you are playing is displayed on the screen. While watching the screen, try selecting a different Motionflow mode to see if the noise is reduced.
    2. If changing other settings does not reduce the noise, select Custom mode and adjust Smoothness:
Note: Depending on the model, Custom mode setting may not be available, or the Smoothness setting may have a slightly different name.
    3. If noise is not reduced, set Motionflow to Off.
    4. If the issue persists, switching the Picture mode to Game may help resolve the issue.
Note: Depending on the model and type of content being viewed, Game mode may not be available.
