This article shows frequently asked questions about Scene-based Listening: music autoplay feature * in the Sony | Sound Connect app.
* Auto Play feature in Sound Connect version 11.2 or earlier.
Q. The audio device can't connect to Scene-based Listening.
A. Check the following:
- Make sure the smartphone's Bluetooth function is set to ON.
- Make sure the smartphone isn't connected to other audio devices.
- Make sure LE-xxxxx (model name) appears as a connected device in the smartphone's Bluetooth setting.
- Make sure the Service Link is set to ON: Select My Device tab → Device settings → System → Service Link.
- If the audio device can't reconnect to Scene-based Listening:
- Delete the LE-xxxxx (model name) from the list of connected devices in the smartphone's Bluetooth settings.
- Connect the audio device to Scene-based Listening in the Scene tab.
Notes:
- Make sure the audio device's software, the Sony | Sound Connect app, and the supported music apps are all updated to the latest version.
- The audio device can't connect to the app while its software is updating. Try the connection again after completing the update.
Q. The music doesn't start playing automatically.
Q. The notifications aren't being read out.
A. Check the following:
- Make sure the desired mobile app is set to ON: Select Scene tab → Voice Cue → Spoken notifications.
Hint: Only apps that receive notifications when a compatible audio device is connected to Scene-based Listening can be set in the Spoken notifications setting.
- If multiple notifications are detected from the same app, only the latest notifications will be read.
- If you are using an iPhone: In the Bluetooth settings, select LE-xxxxx (model name) and check that Share System Notifications is set to ON.
